Let me tell you about my dog.

(Perhaps I am so passionate about dogs because I cannot have one; The Landlord doesn’t allow it.)

Pamacs was born in 2005. At first 7 years, he was an outside dog, a kind of watchdog he had a full garden.

Then a friend of mine asked me why I never go for a walk with my dog.

Honestly, because that was so difficult. He pulled the leash, he wasn’t well trained, and he was about 40kg, so heavy and stubborn, that his dog mom didn’t teach him how to walk properly on the leash. (?) His mom didn’t even have a leash, she lived in the cage in the garden. I feel embarrassed about it. I thought these things were what a dog has to know how to do. (?)

Then my friend asked again and again, and I saw how good boy her dog, was and wanted my dog the same. That took about a couple of months before Pamacs was able to walk properly with me. But he was always really excited when we went for a walk, (app 2-3 a week) so the first 10 minutes was always hard. Then he becomes a good boy. He was thirsty to study new things, like standing on the edge of the footpath before we went through the road. And he studied the waiting word. He studied: no. He needed my time and my attention, and he was happy to study everything. When he was 10 years old, he could run next to my bicycles and never run farther than 5-10 meters. He listened to all my world, he was my best friend…

Then my dog became very ill, I promised him that I wouldn’t leave him alone. That was 2017 in June since he left us for good. On next year February 14th,2018. it will be 6 years since I left the country and sought a new home for my family. He was my best friend, my workout partner, someone I could talk to about everything. His unconditional love helped me a lot through difficult times. My sons went from preteens to adults, and my husband always worked a lot.

For a long time, I felt like I could never love a dog again because losing Pamacs left a great deal of pain. Then I came across a Facebook advertisement where a dog groomer in Dublin, Ferenc Horvath, sought help from Hollywooddog. I learned the trade and started working with them. Working with dogs brings incredible joy. I won’t say I don’t get tired by the end of the day, but it doesn’t feel like work when you do what you love.

My husband started work in Tullamore and rented a house, and I followed him. I initially worked at a vet clinic, then at Petmania, and eventually, I opened my own business, where I can do things my way, prioritizing love and quality.
