A full bladder and bowel can be very uncomfortable for a dog whilst it is being groomed. Please ensure that your pet has been toileted before bringing him or her to the groom room. It is unhygienic and unpleasant when dogs urinate or defecate on grooming table or in the premises. It will result in having to clean and disinfect the groom room and equipment and may also require the dog to be given an additional bath, the cost of which we will be passed on to the owner. Please respect the furniture and cleanness of the salon, also other dogs as well.
Health and Safety is our priority for both groomer and pets during the grooming process. We reserve the right to refuse to groom any dog if we believe it may cause injury to itself or any of us in our Salon. Please be honest and inform us prior to grooming of any previous history of biting or aggression. Your attention is drawn to the “dangerous dog act” which holds owners liable for bites and injuries. We will stop the grooming process if we feel your pet’s behaviour is compromising his safety or ourselves that we have not been informed of prior to the groom, the session will be stopped immediately, you will be requested to collect your pet, finished or not, also charge of the groom could apply depend on what job has done on the dog.
Elderly dogs are welcome at your own risk. Grooming procedures can sometimes be stressful, especially for a senior dog or dog with health problems, and can expose hidden medical problems or aggravate a current one during or after the groom. They are always given extra time and great care and kindness extended, and will be in finished in styles that will not add to their stress. Our estimated finishing times are just that – an estimate. We reserve the right to stop the grooming process at any time if we feel it is in the best interest of the dog.

There is always the possibility an accident could occur. Every effort will be made to ensure your pet is groomed as safely as possible. Grooming equipment is sharp, even though we use extreme caution and care in all situations, possible problems could occur including cuts, nicks, scratches, clipping of nails, etc. In most cases this can happen when a pet is wiggling or moving around.
Accidents are more likely to occur due to bad behaviour such as trying to bite the groomer & or equipment. I agree that I am responsible for any associated veterinary bills resulting from an accident such as a cut at Angigrooming and agree that every effort will have been made to groom as safely as possible.
Sadly, animals can pass away from natural causes and death can be unexpected in any animal. For business protection, we will gather evidence of the animal care through photographs and witness description in order to indemnify against claims. Angigrooming accepts no liability for injury or death of any animal in our care unless proven through our negligence and then it is limited to the animals purchase value.

At Angigrooming we groom humanely. We abide by the Animal Welfare Act.
We will attempt to de-mat a coat only once, and only if we feel that the animal will not suffer pain. We do not de-mat: Puppies, infirm/elderly or aggressive dogs. Matted fur or hair on your dog may result in us having to clip close to the dog’s skin. This can in some cases cause skin irritation or skin nicks from the close shaving. More about Matted Coats please read our De- Matting Policy.
Please note: our normal grooming charge does not include de-matting, any de-matting will be charged for as an additional cost.
If a service cannot be completed on a pet for any reason, the client will still be charged for any completed services performed. Example: A pet becomes sick during the hair-cut and must be sent home, but was washed, dried, brushed, and had its nails trimmed. The client will be charged for a basic bath service but not a full groom.
If your pet is found to have fleas, we will stop the groom, and treat them with a flea treatment bath, which will be charged at min. from €10 depending on the size of the dog. This covers the costs of the flea elimination using the specialist shampoos, towels must be laundered separately, and the cleaning and disinfection the entire salon to prevent fleas from settling or spreading.
A 48-hour cancellation notice is required for all appointments, (the latest is 24hrs) so please contact us by phone or message and we will be happy to offer you an alternative date/time. (emergencies will be considered). We working an appointment service only. When you book your dog in for a grooming that time slot will be dedicated exclusively to your dog, so please be punctual for appointments. We have numerous appointments in a working day and any late appointments have a knock-on effect for the next subsequent bookings. Normally we will remind.
you of your appointment by text 24hrs before it’s due. Please read our detailed cancellation policy.
